Jackie was my muse for the use of beautiful women on their motorcycles for the show! Her husband showed me her pictures on a bike and I said to myself “one day I will shoot her photos and show how gorgeous we can be vs. the haggard ladies they show on the T.V”. Not knowing she’d one day be the Muse for my first gown. She owns Hames Hall that has that “Great Gatsby” look to the residence. I wanted to show the roaring 20’s vibe, mixed with this powerful Madam-type woman as Jackie heads the show. The gown was purposely not lined to give her gorgeous long feminine silhouette. I used feathers around the neck to give it a high vampy, Madam-collar to show a twist on the 20’s use of boa. Influences of Asia can be seen as the best silk fabrics in the day came from Asia and only the wealthy could afford them. I accented the look with the gold chains to mix it up with a little of the 90’s hip hop era to show her dripping in money as a successful female in today’s society. This outfit was the Muse and gave me the direction to design each girl into her own Superhero type look that held a strong meaning of female power and standing up against some of the corruption I have seen during my last 12 years of being caught in the medical world. I used the black velvet, pleather throughout the outfits to tie each outfit together as we often wear leather in the motorcycle world, but I liked it had a more feminine look. The abstract gloves were to give it a futuristic “lady gaga” vibe vs the normal motorcycle glove look. Her look is of sexiness and power.
